Diana Ivanova
Diana Ivanova is a freelance journalist, curator, group therapist and researcher on trauma and the psychological consequences of living in a totalitarian environment.
Winner of the European Journalism Prize “Writing for Eastern Europe” (2005). Co-author of the books “I Experienced Socialism” (2006, with Georgi Gospodinov, Kalin Manolov, Rumen Petrov), “Traumas and Miracles. Portraits from Northwest Bulgaria (2010, with the photographer Babak Salari), director of the documentary film “LISTEN” (2014) about the history of Radio Free Europe. Co-curator (with Claus Loeser) of the first comparative film programme “The Secret Service Films” at the Dresden Film Festival (2016). For 16 years (2004-2019) co-curator of the International Festival of Memories in Bela Rechka, Northwest Bulgaria. Born in Montana, she currently lives and works as a group and trauma yoga therapist in Bonn, Germany.
